IRELAND-ALI MARTINEZ

Alex Martinez - Ali for short - is a 7th dan black belt and shidoshi (instructor) in the martial art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu and is a student of the Bujinkan Meehan Dojo under Shidoshi Mr. Alex Meehan (www.happobiken.com). He passed his Shidoshi test in Japan on January 12th 2006 under the Bujinkan grandmaster, Soke Hatsumi and opened the Jiyu dojo in March 2008. Training: He first began training with the Bujinkan in 1989 and has trained continuously since. He has also made multiple trips to Japan to train with master teachers in this art. Ali is also a 1st year student of Amatsu Tatara Goshinjutsu - a physical therapy related to the Bujinkan - under Peter King, Bujinkan 15th Dan and full licence holder of Amatsu Tatara.

Instructor The Bujinkan shi-tenno dojo instructor is George Behan; he has been training in the martial arts since 1987 and has studied Budo Taijutsu since 1990. George taught Budo Taijutsu in Germany from 1995- 1999 and has trained all over Western Europe where he attended seminars with noted master teachers such as Sven Eric Bogsater, Jack Hoban and many others. George is a student of Shihan Steve Byrne, Newbridge, Co. Kildare and has previously studied with, Shihan Norman Smithers, Harlow,UK, Shihan Brian Duckers, Wirral UK, Shihan Dieter Kania, Ulm, Germany and Shihan Alan Butler, Clondalkin, Co. Dublin. George currently holds the rank of 4th Dan Shidoshi-ho. In 2007 George travelled to Japan to train with Hatsumi Soke and his Shihan (master teachers) in Noda, Japan
