I have been training in this martial art since 1992 off and on, training with various instructors in various parts of the UK as commitments would allow.
In 2002 I moved up to Scotland on a permanent basis and had the opportunity to get back into this martial art I love so much. I travelled throughout the UK, training on numerous courses with fantastic instructors and making some great friends.
Then in 2004 I opened this club in Dundee and set out on the next step in my martial arts career. Throughout this time I have carried on with my own studies, regularly attending more courses to expand my knowledge and skills. Many of these courses have been with my teacher and good friend Brian Duckers, based in the Wirral.
Additionally, I have also enjoyed two trips to Japan during this time, training with our Soke, Masaaki Hatsumi and his senior Japanese Shihan. I was graded to 4th Dan during my most recent trip to Japan.

 | David Castan has over 26 years experience in Martial
Arts. Today he regularily trains with high ranking instructors at International level and travels to Japan regularily to gain knowledge in the Bujinkan Martial Arts with Grandmaster Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi.
Through his Bujinkan Sen Ki Ninjutsu Dojo and Senior students, Sensei Castan, 8th Dan, is committed to teaching the traditional Samurai and Ninja arts of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu as taught by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi. His purpose is to bring back and preserve the historical accuracy of these traditional arts, as well as translate this living Budo into the modern context so that it may be easily used in everyday living. |

This martial art or self defence system is a combination of 9 traditional schools of budo developed by the ninja and samuari warriors of Japan.
Bujinkan Hammersmith (London) Dojo is easily accessible from both central and west London by the Hammersmith & City, Piccadilly and District (Ealing and Richmond) lines. There are many bus routes linking the dojo to local areas such as Shepherds Bush, Chiswick, Acton and Notting Hill. It also is only a short drive down Fulham Palace Rd from the M4 / A4 making it accessible by road from towns such as Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead and the Heathrow area.

Welcome to the website of the Bujinkan Cambridge Dojo. We study the martial art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, also known as Ninjutsu. The art studied in the Bujinkan is a mix of nine different schools of Japanese martial art. Three of these are ninjutsu schools, the others are classical warrior schools. All nine encompass both armed and unarmed training.

Hi and welcome to the Glasgow Shibu of the Bujinkan Kouryuu Dojo in Britain, the sponsoring instructor being Norman Smithers, 15th Dan from the Bujinkan Kouryuu Dojo.
We provide a friendly training environment and encourage a community spirit within our club. We try to avoid an overly competitive environment for the safety and enjoyment of all.
The training hall has been in place since 2001 with many of our members making frequent trips to train in Japan. We aim to pass on the teaching of our grandmaster (soke) Dr Masaaki Hatsumi and the traditions of the 9 martial arts schools that make up the Bujinkan. |

 | The aim of the club is to enable students to train in the Martial Arts of the Bujinkan Dojo, to encourage their learning and to foster an understanding of self defence and the meaning of the traditional martial arts (Budo)".
The Dojo is a microcosm of life, by training sincerely we learn about ourselves and about others. We try to train in a manner that is enjoyable and will be of benefit in everyday life.
Tai Jutsu is not a sport or fitness class but a genuine Martial Art with an emphasis on practical and realistic self-defence.

| The instructor at the Midkent Dojo is Stephen Boddy.
Stephen has travelled many times around Europe and to Japan to learn from Hatsumi-sensei and other leading teachers.
He trains regularly with Peter King, the senior instructor in the UK and attends seminars around the country to learn from other visiting teachers. |
